Endometriosis

What is endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a highly debilitating condition that affects at least 1 in 10 women. The main symptom is usually pain which is often severe. This pain is not always isolated to the pelvic area like regular period pain, but may be felt in the legs, bladder, rectum or stomach, and doesn't always occur just at menstruation. Other related symptoms can include bladder problems (urgency, painful urination), bowel problems (diarrhoea, constipation, bloating), nausea/vomiting, headaches and infertility.

What causes endometriosis?

Endometriosis is not a hormonal condition, as commonly misunderstood, but an inflammatory condition that is influenced by hormonesNew research suggests that endometriosis is driven by immune dysfunction and worsened by hormones like oestrogen. Unfortunately, conventional treatment primarily aims to suppress hormone production, which does not address the root cause of the condition.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

For a decade, I battled chronic acne around my chin and jawline, irregular cycles, mood swings, hair loss, painful periods, severe digestive issues and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). You name it - I’ve been there!

I was finally able to clear my skin, regulate my cycle, be free of period pain and fall pregnant naturally with my daughter in 2020. It took me 10 years and tens of thousands of dollars in tertiary education to get the answers I needed to get better. I didn’t want other women to wait as long as I did which is why I’ve dedicated my life to helping women in the same position as I was, to learn how to interpret what their body’s so desperately wants them to understand, and then develop the right roadmap to address their unique conditions.

I'm here to help you get on track!
